Good Pickin’ Farm
Apprenticeship Program

The Apprenticeship Program at Good Pickin’ Farm is designed for teens and adults who are interested in furthering their knowledge of farming and/or equine care practices in a hands-on setting. Apprentices are paired with employees of the farm and work closely with them throughout regular work shifts at the farm, gaining skill and independence over time. Apprenticeships are an excellent way to be introduced to the farm and farming practices, as well as to work with a variety of farm animals and/or horses. Apprentices can request to focus their time on a particular aspect of Good Pickin’ Farm programs that interest them, such as the horse barn or CSA, for example, or they may rotate through a variety of experiences.
